Factory maintenance is the schedule of services your vehicle's manufacturer lists in the owner's manual: oil and filter changes, fluid services, inspections, and parts replaced at set mileage. What factory maintenance covers
Every manufacturer publishes a schedule for each model. Depending on mileage it can include engine oil and filter, air and cabin filters, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, spark plugs, belts, and a set of inspections. We look up the schedule for your exact vehicle and do what it calls for at your mileage, not a generic package.

Maintenance done on time costs less than the repairs that follow when it is skipped, and a documented service history protects both your warranty and your resale value. We keep a record of the dates and work done on your vehicle.
Factory Maintenance: questions and answers
- Will servicing my car at an independent shop void the factory warranty?
- No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer generally cannot require you to use the dealer for routine maintenance in order to keep your warranty in effect. Keep your service records; we keep them on file for you as well.
- How do I know what maintenance my car is due for?
- The schedule is in your owner's manual and is based on mileage and time. Bring the vehicle in or call with the year, make, model and mileage and we will tell you what the manufacturer calls for.
- How often should I change my oil?
- Follow the interval your manufacturer lists for your engine and oil type. Many current vehicles on synthetic oil call for a change every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, and sooner under severe conditions such as short trips, towing or stop-and-go driving.
- Do you warranty your repairs?
- Yes. We back our repairs with a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty.
- Can I get same-day service?
- In most cases, yes. How long a job takes depends on the repair and on parts, so call (714) 841-1245 and we will tell you what to expect for your vehicle.
- Will I get an estimate before any work is done?
- Yes. California law requires a written estimate and your authorization before repair work begins. Nothing is done to your vehicle until you approve it.
