Find out what it is before assuming the worst
Not every shifting problem means a new transmission. Low or worn fluid, a leaking seal, a faulty solenoid or sensor, or a software issue can cause the same symptoms as internal damage. We check the fluid, scan for codes, and road test the vehicle so you know what you are dealing with.

- Is it safe to drive with a slipping transmission?
- It is not a good idea. Slipping creates heat that damages internal parts quickly, and the vehicle may lose drive without warning. Have it checked as soon as you can.
- What color should transmission fluid be?
- New automatic transmission fluid is typically bright red and nearly clear. Dark brown fluid, or fluid that smells burnt, points to wear or overheating.
- Does a transmission problem always mean a rebuild?
- No. Fluid condition, leaks, solenoids, sensors and software can all cause shifting problems. An inspection tells you which it is.
- Do you warranty your repairs?
